It can be recalled that Bianca Manalo, her boyfriend, Pandan, Antique Mayor Jonathan Tan, and Ehra Madrigal recently got involved in a tragic boat accident on their way to Mararison Island, Antique. While the three survived, the mayor’s bodyguard and cousin, Bennie Dable did not make it.
The beauty queen-actress, who recently flew back to Manila, could not help but still be emotional over the tragedy she and others experienced last week. Speaking to ABS-CBN News, the actress narrated how she tried to calm down everybody when their boat capsized.
“I was trying to calm everyone down. Naging pacifier ako ng group. May takot sa puso but lagi akong nagdadasal. Sabi ko Lord save us, Lord save us. Please Lord, calm the waters. ‘Yun ang lumalabas sa bibig ko. Never akong sumigaw.
She was so terrified that she thought it would be the end of her.
“When I was in the ocean, I was praying pa na ‘Lord, if two or three are gathered in Your midst, You are with us.’ Ganun na ‘yung mga prayers ko.”
She also said that her boyfriend and their companion, Torrebeo Barrientos, swam to the shores for two hours to ask for help.
The sight of the rescue team made her more emotional and grateful to the Lord for saving her from the ordeal.
“When I saw the rescue, I was crying nonstop. Lord, thank you.
Now that she’s well and safe, Bianca deems this as her second life — another chance to find her purpose in life.
