No words can describe the joy that a parent feels when they see their children finishing their education. This is exactly how the parents of the Gueguesangen Integrated School valedictorian Michael Español felt when they decorate their house with his medals in Gueguesangen, Mangaldan in Pangasinan.
Based on a report by ABS CBN News, the newly graduated teenager finished high school with an impressive grade of 95 percent. Moreover, he was also elected as supreme student government president of his school before.
Read what he had to say below:
Despite living an impoverished life, this never prevented him from achieving his dreams. His messenger father and seamstress mother who works in Manila worked very hard just to provide the needs of their children.
This is what his father Marlon Español said:
However, the Php 10, 000 per month salary of his father was still not enough, Michael Español was forced to work as a construction worker in order to help. According to him, he earns Php 250 pesos a day which he uses for his education.
Unfortunately, he still hears a lot of negative comments about him despite his hard-work and perseverance.
As of now, he’s currently trying his luck to get a college scholarship in order to enroll as an accountancy student.
