Business legend Henry Ford once said: “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” Going by these words, age is certainly just a number for this 66-year-old woman who just completed Grade 10 in Cotabato City.
Last Friday, April 6, Lola Amina Akmad proudly walked up the stage of Cotabato City National High School – Main Campus (CCNHS) to receive her completion certificate.
A netizen, who also happens to be Lola Amina’s classmate, posted the latter’s achievement on Facebook. According to the netizen, the admirable 66-year-old woman was oldest student completer of 2018.
According to ABS-CBN News, Lola Amina’s younger sister, Lolita Brillo could not help but cry when she saw her big sister receive her certificate of completion:
Brillo added that Lola Amina intends to finish senior high school as well, which she fully supports.
Meanwhile, CCNHS Principal Panfilo Cedeno is also very proud of their oldest student completer.
