Ardent viewers of “Sherlock Jr.” were left shocked after Gabbi Garcia’s character, Lily, faced her tragic demise. Her lifeless body was found ditched near the filthy river, making her love interest Jack (Ruru Madrid) break down in tears. Shortly after the episode was aired, Gabbi bid farewell to her fans and thanked those who supported her role in the hit GMA-7 series. She took to her Instagram and said:
“I honestly don’t know where to start… as much as it’s hard to say goodbye, well here it goes. I would like to thank the #SherlockJr team! Thank you for treating me like family, one of the best cast & productions I’ve ever worked with! Thanks for keeping things light and full of love! I’ll definitely miss taping. Thank you also to everyone who supports the show! To my gabbifieds and gabru’s, love you guys!! Quite unexpected, but I felt all the love from each and everyone of you.”
A few days later, the Kapuso actress tweeted, ‘how 2 make the right decision,’ making her fans ponder if she will be jump shipping to ABS-CBN anytime soon due to how she used the number “2” instead of the word “to.”
Netizens were quick to respond to Gabbi’s post and were visibly against her transferring to the rival network. One online user even told her that she’s being “groomed” by her home network which is why it would be such a waste if she leaves.
